PRODCAMP: Effective collaboration made easy

Effective communication and integration are essential in any company. Especially if several members are working on the same project. While one could use multiple applications and Software to keep track of things, it might get tricky in the long run. Its where PRODCAMP is useful in such situations. It provides seamless integration of things to do sheets, CRM integrations, feedback management platforms, and much more.

It’s the one-stop-shop for those that are looking for the perfect tool for making a better product management decision. To provide greater insight into the company, Venture Mirror had the opportunity to have a brief discussion with Matei Culcer, Co-founder and CRO of PRODCAMP.

What is the startup/product about? Give us a brief description of it.

We connect customers and products. We are the equivalent of Zapier for users and the solution they use. ProdCamp is a Public Roadmap and Feedback Management Platform to help SMBs Product Team capture, process and prioritize feedback and build better products faster.

Our vision is to build a Multi-channel feedback and product Management Platform that integrates with all the tools Companies are using (CRM, Developer tools, feedback sources) and enable all stakeholder to make better product management decision.

How many co-founders are there? Please introduce them and their backgrounds.

Matei Culcer CRO – 10 years’ experience in sales and Business Development and 5 years building revenue team in the Software as a Service industry.

We all met during our time working for MSP360 (formerly CloudBerry).

How did you come up with the idea? What motivated you to do this?

We noticed the company was wasting lots of resources developing the product via a guess & check approach.

We were receiving feedback from countless sources but had no way to easily capture them all in a single space to process them and make data aware decisions based on all these insights.

Ultimately everyone had an opinion but no one had data to back it up. We were starting to see our revenue growth slowing down and our retention rate decrease. It took us huge effort to start combining the data and get actionable items out of it.

The idea to create ProdCamp emerged in this context. As a solution to our own product management and business challenges.

Who is your target market? Why do you think your product will appeal to them?

We primarily target Software as a service SMBs and Startups. We know they don’t need and don’t want to use the most pricey and complex product that exists on the market. But they need to answer to the problem we solve.

We know because we’ve been there too!

Who are your competitors? How are you different from them?

Roadmunk, Canny, Kampsite – they are too simple and offer a very limited set of functionalities that gives no way to truly process, combine and manage the data once it’s being captured.

Productboard, productplan, airtable – they are enterprise level solutions. Very complex to deploy and maintain as well as very pricy.

Trello, Asana, Monday – they are project management solutions and are not appropriate to collect feedback and manage product. For this reason, they are also quite complex to set up and customize for product teams.

What are the future plans with the product/startup? Any new features you are planning on?

We just rolled out a new design, added an onboarding kit.

We are implementing:

An import functionality to ease the migration.

Salesforce integration (in beta)

Jira integration to collaborate with dev teams.
