What is the startup / product / venture about? Give us a brief description of it.
Newny is a Live Q&A, Feedback and Insights tool for businesses using virtual events and live podcasts for customer engagement and acquisition. By designating a branded URL for each organization we work with, we help consolidate their audience engagement into one platform. This can be used from Zoom to Clubhouse to hybrid and in-person events.

How did you come up with the idea? What motivated you to do this?
We discovered that many organisations were running their virtual events in an inefficient manner. They’d ask for pre-event questions to be emailed in then they’d use the native tools in their chosen video conferencing tool to conduct their Q&A. Once it was over they’d ask for follow up feedback or questions via email.
As you can tell this was not the best use of their time and is prone to leaking useful insights if they were consolidated into one platform. So we built that solution. Using Newny you can collect your pre-event questions, conduct your Q&A from the same place and collect post event feedback. With our insights tool we can show you some very useful data points to help you understand how your audience is engaging with your events.
Who is your target market? Why do you think your product will appeal to them?
Our product would work well with virtual event organisers who primarily use Zoom for their customer engagement. This’ll help them discover evangelists from their audience, content from the most popular questions and use our CTA prompt to help with their lead generation efforts.
Newny also works great for live podcast and Clubhouse moderators. Its the perfect way to stay connected with your listeners and collect quick feedback on how your audience found your podcast!
Who are your competitors? How are you different from them?
My biggest competitors are Slido and Mentimeter. They have multiple pricing and feature tiers. The biggest differences are that we offer a custom URL that never expires, this means your audience familiarise themselves with your audience engagement platform. With Newny there is only one pricing tier and full access to all our features.
Another unique element in Newny is our instant feedback feature that informs our event organisers exactly how their participants found the event. Our Insights feature is also unique as we’ve developed an easy to use and understand dashboard to monitor how your events engagement incrementally improves over time.
What are the future plans with the product/startup? Any new features you are planning on?
We’re planning to integrate with Zoom to allow our organisers to understand their engagement in more detail. Another thing that’s in the pipeline is more engagement features!
