Fight Die Repeat: Letting Go of Boredom

Games have always come to our rescue when in dire need of entertainment. When we’re stuck at a waiting room with absolutely nothing to do or just happen to have a lot of time on our hands, looking out for game applications to keep us company has become a habit. Over the years, games have become a great way to relieve stress and kill time. Fight Die Repeat is an android game passionately developed by two brothers. The game involves weapons, maps and much more. In conversation with the developer, Jakup Emini, we learn more about this game and its future prospects!

What is the startup/product about? Give us a brief description of it.

Fight Die Repeat is a game we’ve been working on for about 4 months now. As a passion project of ours it has had our full attention this summer. The game revolves around beating waves and hoards of enemies on a map. Every time you lose you upgrade your weapons, abilities or buy entirely new guns to reach further into the map, where at the last wave you encounter the boss of that map. After defeating him you go to the next beautiful map and so on. Though still in its early development we’ve been working on a major update that will launch in the next week or so, so stay tuned.

How many co-founders are there? Please introduce them and their backgrounds. If there are multiple co-founders, please mention how did you meet one another

I co-produced the game with the help of my classmate and my brother. We study software engineering in Skopje and saw our abilities as enough to start developing on our own.

How did you come up with the idea? What motivated you to do this?

We’ve had this idea for a long time, but most of what the game is today is through trial and error, seeing what worked and what didn’t. Our motivation came from the experience and skills we’ve acquired from our university.

Who is your target market? Why do you think your product will appeal to them?

Target market is demographic of people from 14-24. It’s a great game to play in the bus, just passing time when you’re free, and I think we’ve achieved that while making the game satisfying to play. It has certain strategies to it as every round will be a bit different making you come up with different strategies every time.

What are the future plans with the product/startup? Any new features you are planning on?

There’s a major update we’ve been working on for about 3 weeks now. We’re planning to launch in about 1 week. It contains huge graphical improvements, added functionality and all around polishing of the game. We’re also planning on an infinite mode in the near future, where you compete for high score.
