Social media is a great tool to express how you feel in the best possible scenario. While there are different platforms allowing people to express things in words, videos or posts, coming up with something different is quite the challenge. However, to make your “voice” heard amongst millions is quite the task. But if you were to use Yibber, then literally hearing other people’s opinions and thoughts is quite the possibility.
Yibber is a revolutionary social media platform where your voice is everything. It’s an audio-based social media platform where you can create your profile and add your music, thoughts, audio recordings, and much more. Also, you can talk to one another all through audio and have up to 5 people to collaborate on a recording all through the application. There are live room features where 10 participants can join and interact with one another through pre-recorded posts. It’s a complete application helping users to create a 100% audio-based profile. Venture Mirror had a unique stride in interviewing with Vilhelm Fridell, the CBO of Yibber, to know more about this exciting company. Read what they had to say below.
What is the startup / product / venture about? Give us a brief description of it.
Yibber is a full-scale audio-based social media app – the first of its kind.
On Yibber you can easily record podcasts, audio blogs, and music, whatever floats your boat basically. You can also invite up to 5 other users to participate in your recording.
unlike other audio-based apps, we have made it possible for you to interact with content creators on Yibber, through social elements, such as comments, likes, following requests, and direct messages.
Another important concept of Yibber are threads. Threads are audio forums where you can connect and discuss with people in real-time or through prerecorded audio posts. Inside a live-room you can connect and discuss with 10 other users in real-time.
Last but definitely not least, on Yibber, you can build your personalized audio-based social media profile and connect with friends, and awesome people from all over the world.

All of us are from Sweden, and as you can see (based on our last name) three of us are related.
How did you come up with the idea? What motivated you to do this?
We came up with this idea because we could clearly see several problems in today’s audio streaming and social media world. However, the initial issue we saw, is that there is a lack of communication between content creators and content consumers on today’s audio streaming platforms. We are heavy podcast consumers, but there was basically no way for us to come in contact with our favorite podcasters except for email. That’s where our idea of Yibber started.
Who is your target market? Why do you think your product will appeal to them?
To define our target market, we surveyed people from different segments of demographics about their desire of using an application like Yibber. Based on the results we found that our main target market primarily consists of men and women between 18 to 34 years old. There is also a slight difference between highly educated people and people with no higher education, but the difference is so insignificant that it is difficult to make any comprehensive assessments about it.
A factor that further validates the credibility of our survey results is the age demographics of most social media and audio streaming applications.
We have also done multiple research and tests on market fit and we can see that we are fulfilling several of the issues that people in this audience are experiencing in today’s audio-streaming and social media world.
Who are your competitors? How are you different from them?
Spoon and Clubhouse are probably our biggest competitors because, unlike Spotify and Anchor, they are classified as social media.
Fortunately, there are many differences between our apps. For example, Spoon focuses more on live streaming and music than us. Their recording tools are not built to create high quality audio, like podcasts. When it comes to Clubhouse, the app only focuses on live audio chat rooms, so it is definitely safe to say that our app is much more comprehensive.
What are the future plans with the product/startup? Any new features you are planning on?
\We just reached our launch in Sweden and Norway, and are now looking ahead to our launch in the US which is really our main market. We are expecting to launch in the US in the start of April. After that we are aiming to expand quickly throughout the world. We are constantly improving and updating our app and we have a list of countless new features which we yet can’t reveal. Many of them have never been seen before.
