Swipe Files Community is home to a few hundred of the brightest minds in marketing.

Marketing is a never-ending process of reaching out to as many customers as possible. However, when you look into the metrics, it certainly drives the company forwards. But to inherit those traits, the jargon of going through unnecessary tools irrelevant to your cause is the trade. Corey Haines, the co-founder of Swipe Files, feels the same, and it’s where he started the company to form a community of people throwing in their pitches and ideas through newsletters, content, teardowns, and more.

The company thrives on reaching out to a greater audience and directly focusing on different marketing strategies to make the difference. With an exclusive interview conducted with Corey Haines by Venture Mirror, read all the excerpts detailed below.

What is the startup / product / venture about? Give us a brief description of it.

Content, community, and courses to master marketing. Swipe Files is a hub for marketers to come together and level up their game. The central thesis behind the project is that the best ideas come from unexpected places. The newsletter, community, teardowns, and content is all created with a mission to help marketers escape their own echo chamber and think outside the box.

How many co-founders are there? Please introduce them and their backgrounds.

No co-founders

How did you come up with the idea? What motivated you to do this?

There were a few driving forces. I was never able to plug into a marketing community and feel like it was a place to share, connect, and learn from others — so I built one. I was sick of always searching through marketing examples that people praised but having no idea what they liked about them — so I started writing teardowns. I was tired of all the generic and shallow marketing content out there — so I built courses I wish I had and write newsletters I wish I would have read years ago.

Who is your target market? Why do you think your product will appeal to them?

Marketers who are serious about challenging the status quo and looking for the cutting edge techniques.

Who are your competitors? How are you different from them?

Swipe Files doesn’t have any true competitors. There are lots of other creators making content and resources for marketers, but none the way I am. The true competitor is people being complacent with where they’re at today.

What are the future plans with the product/startup? Any new features you are planning on?

I’m launching a podcast very soon that will aim to serve marketers looking to learn from industry experts from all different backgrounds and skill sets.
