leap.club is a community led, professional network for women. Our members make new connections & relationships, join communities, and access exclusive experiences.
leap.club brings superior networking opportunities for members and beats the clutter of existing social professional networks. Our mission is more women in leadership positions. Thousands of women across cities, industries have taken the leap.
How many co-founders are there? Please introduce them and their backgrounds.
Anand Sinha – Early Zomato employee. Joined Zomato in 2011 and was lucky to be part of the first 50 employees. Started first startup in 2014 called PressPlay. It was an early OTT and content distribution platform and was backed by Sequoia Capital at the time. Rejoined Zomato in Jan 2018 and led Zomato Gold as the Global Head till Jan 2020. Scaled Zomato Gold from 0-2 million members across 10 countries. Started working on leap.club full time in 2020. Co-Founded The Robin Hood Army.
Ragini Das – Early Zomato Employee and spent 6 years there in various growth roles. Was the head of international expansion for Zomato Gold in her last role. linked top emerging voice 2020.
How did you come up with the idea? What motivated you to do this?
Even in 2021, the path to leadership for women is too slow. all of us need to come together to make gender equality a reality. Unlike linkedin, our members form genuine social professional relationships. it gives them a space to form relationships on the internet differently.
Who is your target market? Why do you think your product will appeal to them?
Women (and everyone who identifies themselves as one) of all age groups and backgrounds
Who are your competitors? How are you different from them?
Leap is different as it is members only and is community led. We focus on our members forming genuine relationships and increasing their inner network and not token connections. Our members also join interest based micro communities, and get access to exclusive experiences like masterclasses from top executives and founders.
What are the future plans with the product/startup? Any new features you are planning on?
As we scale, we have a massive opportunity to launch many new products. We are most excited about jobs and l&d. The top global talent will be on leap and our platform will help recruiters tap into them.
