Zephyr Aerospace: Long-distance traveling made comfortable

Long-distance traveling through flights has been stressful. Especially traveling in an economy class, which can have a burden on your back. No doubt, there are ample solutions to adhere to this problem, but it’s never the optimal solution. Its where Zephyr seats come to the bigger picture. These are ergonomic seats redesigned to suit the economy air traveler and make it feasible to travel a longer distance. 

With such more significant benefits and offerings from Zephyr Aerospace, Venture Mirror had the opportunity to have an in-depth conversation with Jeffrey O’Neil, Founder/CEO of the company to shed some light on the work about of the company.

Jeffrey O’Neill, Founder/CEO

Jeff is an expert at helping travelers save up to 70% on Business/First Class air tickets.  Formerly an analyst with the U.S. Department of State, Jeff has traveled to 171 countries, is a self-taught industrial designer, and travels 340+ days/year in the air.  He is committed to permanently changing the status quo of long-distance travel, making safety and comfort more affordable for every traveler.

How did you come up with the idea? What motivated you to do this?

I was flying from New York > Singapore (then the longest flight in the world) and grew restless halfway through the flight.  My body needed to sleep, but there was no comfortable way to lie-flat.  I couldn’t afford the 6x price premium for Business Class.  I was convinced there must be a better way to provide affordable sleep and change the status quo of air travel.  The rest is history.

Who is your target market? Why do you think your product will appeal to them?

Any long-distance traveler who typically pays for Economy Class.

The goal is to partner with a transportation provider as quickly as possible, so some version of the Zephyr Seat can be made available to travelers!
