Weeklies: Giving Feedback Made Easier

Giving feedback has never been an exciting task. Most employees find it tedious and very repetitive and it has led to feedback becoming less and less useful. Improving a business has a lot to do with feedback from employees as it is one channel through which employees can efficiently communicate their opinion and suggestions.

Weeklies is an app dedicated to making the process of giving feedback easier. It allows employees to anonymously give feedback with just a few taps. This makes it easier for people on both ends of the process. In conversation with the Founder of Weeklies, Myles Wilter-Heritage, we learn more about this app.

What is the startup/product about? Give us a brief description of it.

Weeklies is an app that lets employees provide anonymous feedback without feeling like a chore. It has an anonymous suggestion box where feedback can be provided in a few taps. Another feature is scheduled recurring questions, these are quick to set up and quick to answer. The feedback from these questions can be easily tracked and iterated on leading to happier employees. Weeklies is anonymous and easy to join, employees don’t even have to login, we try to make the feedback process as frictionless as possible to maximize the quantity of feedback.

How many co-founders are there?

Myles Wilter-Heritage – Solo founder

Only one founder currently. I studied computer science at university and went on to do Android Development as my day job for over 6 years. All the while working on many failed side projects.

How did you come up with the idea?

At my work I would be forced to use feedback tools that were clunky and always a pain to use. In addition, in agile software development we would conduct retrospectives, looking at what went well / badly then making changes based on this, I found this agile methodology to be extremely valuable. Weeklies takes these agile techniques and applies them to general employee feedback with minimal friction to employees.

Who is your target market?

Our target market is small to medium size companies who are looking to gather employee feedback then make changes. These changes can increase productivity, staff retention, staff health and innovation. So we feel that most companies could benefit from trying weeklies.

What are the future plans with the product/startup?

In the coming months we’re planning on adding many new features to better track how employees are feeling. We have graphing tools in the pipeline, different types of questions, virtual suggestion boxes with voting and many more.
